Sr Dir, Global Facilities/Real Estate
Overview
Bio-Rad Laboratories is seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Global Facilities and Real Estate function. As Senior Director, you will shape and execute a global strategy that supports business growth, optimizes our real estate portfolio, and enhances workplace environments across regions.
Reporting into Global Supply Chain leadership, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders to guide real estate decisions, improve operational performance, and ensure our facilities effectively support Bio-Rad’s evolving business needs. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to drive meaningful impact across a global footprint.
How You’ll Make An Impact:
- Develop and execute a global facilities and real estate strategy aligned with business priorities and long-term growth plans.
- Manage a diverse, multi-site global portfolio, including lease management, acquisitions, consolidations, and capital projects.
- Drive portfolio optimization through data-driven insights, cost management, and proactive planning.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team, strengthening capabilities and delivering consistent, high-quality service.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and Business Units to align facility planning with workforce and operational needs.
- Oversee vendor performance, lease negotiations, and service contracts to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards while advancing sustainability initiatives.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Work Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in global real estate, facilities, or property management.
- Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios, capital projects, and real estate strategy.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including business case development and long-range planning.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
- Experience building and leading teams, driving performance, and navigating change.
- Knowledge of real estate transactions, facilities operations, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, ESG).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $233,600 to $321,000 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
