Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Care Rehab

The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech-language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed.  Otherwise, a speech-language pathologist shall work independently without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Conferred from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Upon hire: Texas Speech Language Pathologist License. License in state of hire and wherever care is delivered.  
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Facility Managed) 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
  • 1 year of Acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
  • 2 years of Professional experience.
