Role responsibilities
Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) conduct medical laboratory tests and analyses to provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. They prepare samples, use specialized instrumentation, perform tests, and interpret results to assist clinicians in treatment decisions.
Requirements
Candidates must have an Associate degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution. Registry eligibility for Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or equivalent) is preferred, along with strong language, math, and reasoning skills.
