Company Overview
Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
What you'll do
As an AI agentic Engineer on the End User Services team, you will help build the next wave of automation in Docusign's IT operations. This role is a unique blend of AI tinkering and foundational IT automation. Your primary focus will be designing, building, and continuously evaluating AI agents and automation workflows that make our internal IT operations faster, more reliable, and easier for our employees to use. You don't need to be a senior architect to succeed here. We are looking for a curious, builder-minded engineer who loves tweaking AI prompts, structuring agentic tools, and connecting enterprise platforms. We prioritize an “out-of-the-box (OOTB) first” approach - leveraging native platform capabilities in tools like ServiceNow - while stepping in to build custom integrations (like Python scripts or REST APIs) when needed. If you love experimenting with LLMs, making systems talk to each other, and solving puzzles, this is the role for you.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, IT Operations.
Responsibility
Design, structure, and refine AI prompts and agent/tool structures
Drive continuous evaluations of these agents to tweak and improve their accuracy and performance over time
Assist in developing and deploying agentic AI solutions that help autonomously resolve common IT tickets, triage requests, or guide users to resolutions
Build and maintain integrations between core systems (ServiceNow, Okta, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace) using native connectors, webhooks, and custom APIs
Help the team decide when to use native platform workflows versus building custom scripted services (Python/PowerShell) to meet our goals
Learn and apply "Zero Trust" principles, ensuring our automated actions use least-privilege access and are securely logged
Work alongside a variety of teams, including Security, and EUS Engineering to map out user friction points and turn them into automated self-service solutions
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.
What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience in IT operations, automation, scripting, or backend development
Experience writing and troubleshooting code in Python (or a similar language) and working with REST APIs and webhooks
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or agentic frameworks
Experience with modern SaaS and enterprise platforms (like Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, etc.)
Preferred
Familiarity with building or testing multi-agent frameworks
Experience with IT service management or ticketing systems (like ServiceNow, Jira)
Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic DevOps/CI/CD practices
A track record of identifying a manual process and writing a script/tool to automate it
