Accountabilities:
- Building, updating, and maintaining finite element models of electric propulsion assemblies using ANSA or equivalent preprocessing tools
- Performing linear static structural analyses using Nastran for limit and ultimate load cases while validating model accuracy and identifying anomalies
- Supporting nonlinear structural analyses using Ansys under the guidance of senior engineers
- Post-processing simulation results using Meta or similar software to generate plots, reports, and engineering summaries
- Maintaining traceability between loads, geometry revisions, material properties, and analysis outputs
- Preparing technical analysis documentation and contributing to engineering reports
- Collaborating with design, loads, and cross-functional engineering teams to rapidly integrate design updates into structural models
- Continuously developing technical expertise through mentorship, code reviews, and hands-on engineering projects
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 2–4 years of experience performing finite element analysis on structural assemblies
- Hands-on experience with ANSA or equivalent meshing and preprocessing software
- Working knowledge of Nastran for linear static structural analysis
- Familiarity with Meta, FEMAP, or similar post-processing tools
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, including stress, strain, load paths, and bolted joint behavior
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and contribute within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with rotating machinery, electric powertrains, or electromechanical structural systems
- Familiarity with nonlinear structural analysis using Ansys
- Programming experience with Python or MATLAB for FEA automation or post-processing
- Knowledge of composite and metallic aerospace structural analysis methods
- Familiarity with FAA certification standards such as Part 23 or Part 27
- Experience working with PDM or PLM systems for engineering data and model management
- Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications
