Accountabilities:
- Lead financial due diligence reviews for potential acquisitions, analyzing financial statements, historical performance, accounting processes, and business fundamentals.
- Build and maintain financial analyses and pro forma models, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses.
- Develop financial and operational insights by evaluating company performance, strategic alignment, and investment opportunities.
- Perform quality-of-revenue, quality-of-earnings, and working capital analyses to support transaction evaluations.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, operational, and investment teams to gather information and complete comprehensive diligence reviews.
- Prepare detailed reports, financial workbooks, and presentations highlighting key findings, risks, and opportunities.
- Present diligence conclusions clearly to investment stakeholders and provide recommendations throughout the acquisition process.
- Support preparation of indications of interest, letters of intent, and provide financial input into purchase agreements.
- Review deliverables from colleagues and ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.
- Partner with technology teams to translate diligence insights into process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhanced analytical capabilities.
- Take ownership of assigned workstreams while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced transaction environment.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and transaction-related roles, including accounting advisory, private equity, or transaction advisory environments.
- Experience performing financial due diligence with exposure to financial reporting and tax accounting considerations.
- CPA, CA, or CFA certification preferred.
- Experience working at a leading or Big Four accounting firm strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate small and medium-sized businesses and interpret financial performance.
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and presentation tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative and operate effectively in both collaborative and independent environments.
