As Research Scientist, Thermocatalysis, you will own applied thermocatalysis research tied directly to proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and customer programs. Your role is to turn hypotheses into validated results that inform decisions, models, and next steps. This is a delivery-oriented scientific role embedded in an end-to-end discovery system. Your tasks will include: Own applied thermocatalysis research Design, execute, and iterate thermocatalysis experiments aligned with program goalsDevelop and refine experimental protocols as understanding evolvesEnsure results are reproducible, interpretable, and decision-relevantWork within an AI-native discovery loop Collaborate closely with AI, automation, and materials teamsHelp translate experimental workflows into machine-readable representationsProvide experimental insight that informs model development and active learningTranslate science into outcomes Analyze and interpret experimental results with an applied lensCommunicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders and program leadsConnect experimental outcomes to customer and PoC objectivesOperate with rigor and discipline Maintain high standards for lab documentation, safety, and data qualityContribute to continuous improvement of experimental workflowsStay current on relevant thermocatalysis literature and techniquesYour profilePhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field, with3–6 years of post-PhD experience in applied catalysis or industrial R&DStrong hands-on experimental background in thermocatalysis or closely related catalytic systemsDemonstrated experience designing, executing, and iterating experiments under real-world constraintsComfortable working in multidisciplinary teams spanning chemistry, AI, and automationApplied, delivery-oriented mindset paired with a high bar for scientific rigorClear communicator who can translate experimental results into decisions and next stepsEnglish fluency, additional languages preferredAbout usDunia, meaning “world” in over 20 languages, reflects our focus on building technologies that deliver abundance globally.
