This is a 12 month maternity cover.As a member of the Tech Foundations Team, you’ll support Delivery Hero’s rapid innovation and growth. You’ll work on foundational systems that enable faster feature development, security, reliability and efficiency across our global engineering community. Every enhancement you make will contribute to our teams' ability to build, scale, and deliver quality features efficiently — ultimately impacting millions of users worldwide.The FinOps and Tech Metrics team is delivering data pipelines, visualization solutions and organisational capabilities for global technology efficiency impact in the Delivery Hero Group. We drive several efficiency KPIs and lead group-wide initiatives to ensure the efficient management of cloud and AI resources, leading to optimized usage and cost, high business value and engineering efficiency.We have a unique data engineering position to offer that does not present itself frequently. This role offers growth in two highly sought-after disciplines in parallel: data engineering and cloud financial management (FinOps and tokenomics). You will be working closely together with data engineers and FinOps practitioners in our great team in a multi-provider environment.Your key roles and responsibilities will be:deliver - utilizing terminal-first or IDE-based agentic tooling - highly automated, quality controlled, near real-time data pipelines and data-driven software features for optimizing public cloud, SaaS, and AI cost, usage, and driving business valuebuild generative analytics and visualisation solutions in the form of automated insight extraction, business intelligence dashboards, reports, and tooling integrationsapply AI/ML solutions for anomaly detection, automated analyses, forecasting, identification of optimisation opportunities and similar use casesensure a great data and user experience by staying close to our users and product personas, and provide them outstanding supportcontribute to the definition and evolution of our data and software architecture, also considering the non-functional requirements in collaboration with members of the teamThe output of your work will be used by hundreds to thousands of engineers as well as all levels of management in the DH Group to help them make the right decisions and tradeoffs, as well as help them optimize their workloads and spending. QualificationsCuriosity and hunger for knowledge that keeps you rolling: experimenting and learning by doing, iteration after iteration - it’s just fun!Hands-on experience with building quality data pipelines in the cloud with large datasetsDemonstrated language-agnostic coding skills and SQL wizardry to do ELT/ETL transformations and querying data efficiently for high performance and controlled costBeyond engineering, strong communication skills and interest in business and our customers (internal users)Understanding the importance and no fear of doing...
