Financial Analyst is responsible for strengthening the Finance Governance function in Mexico Controllership by ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining a robust internal control environment. 

The role drives governance initiatives that mitigate risk, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with local and global policies. Working collaboratively with Finance, Lines of Business, senior leadership, auditors, and regulators, this position plays a key role in safeguarding the organization's control framework and supporting sound financial governance.

Responsible for monitoring of any new Regulatory Requirements in Mexico - Monitor and assess changes to regulatory reportings, submissions and/or financial presentation on a monthly basis e.g. Statistics and Geography (INEGI), General Corporations Law (LGSM), Mexico financial reporting standars (NIF) and other regulators. 

Support the Manager Governance to evaluate and appropriately incorporate into their internal controls, with respect to improving their effectiveness and efficiency, recommendations from Internal Audit, External auditors, and Regulators. 

Responsible for the preparation of Financial Statement disclosure (Local GAAP).

Responsible for performing/overseeing testing and monitoring of spreadsheet controls policy within the market; Quarterly certification process and annual testing of the effectiveness of High Risk Spreadsheet controls. 

  • Bachelor degree on Public accountant. 

  • Accounting, finance designation preferred (CA / CPA / CGA). 

  • Bank Accounting knowledge is a plus.

  • Knowledge of USGAAP and local GAAPs, IFRS accounting standard is a plus.

  • At least 2-3 years audit experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or practical experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance productivity, automate routine tasks, improve data analysis, and support decision-making. Familiarity with generative AI solutions and the ability to responsibly leverage AI technologies within a financial control and governance environment is considered a strong advantage.

  • Strong written and verbal english & spanish communication skills.
