Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Engineer Intern to join the ZPE Systems Team in Blumenau. We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Intern to support our engineering team with product certification activities and hardware design. This position is ideal for students interested in electronics, compliance, and product development, offering hands-on exposure to real-world engineering processes in global markets. You will work closely with experienced engineers to support certification processes in various countries and assist in product development for networking devices and serial communication.

What Will You Do?

  • Assist in coordinating and tracking product certifications for global markets, including Brazil (ANATEL), South Korea (KC), India (MTCTE / NCCS), Singapore (IMDA), United States (FCC), European Union (CE), and others.
  • Support the preparation and organization of documentation for certification submissions (test reports, declarations, technical files, etc.).
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners (laboratories, certification bodies) to monitor certification processes.
  • Help review hardware schematics for serial communication devices, networking equipment, and peripherals.
  • Assist in identifying potential compliance and design issues related to certifications (EMC, safety, RF, etc.).

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of electronics (schematics, components, circuits).
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced English (reading and writing for technical documentation).
  • Familiarity with hardware design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD).
  • Exposure to networking or embedded systems.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of EMC, RF, or electrical safety concepts.
