We are seeking a strong Financial Analyst with high energy and drive to join our team.
This position will provide Finance support to the Exeter Castings and Exeter Alloy Plants within Howmet Engines, as well as perform UK Statutory duties for semi active/non-trading entities across the UK. The role reports to the Location and UK Country Controller.
The role will:
Support month-end closing activities for the Exeter site to Howmet Aerospace deadlines (1-day close).
VAT compliance and monthly close procedures for semi active/non-trading entities located across the UK.
Value-add analysis of financial and operational results for senior business leaders.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations, VAT and other statutory returns.
Help co-ordinate audit and tax compliance.
Complete Internal Control requirements and define remediating action plans, where appropriate.
- Assist with various management reporting and analysis around topics such as profitability by part, price, inventory, and more.
Identify, lead and implement process improvement and automation initiatives for Exeter.
Business Partner with the plant operations teams and exposure to site leadership team on a regular basis.
Essential
Part-Qualified Accountant.
3 years+ relevant experience.
Good working knowledge of accounting systems & Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
Some experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Previous experience in dealing with audit requests.
Understands data, executes, and implements plans.

Good written communicator.
