Working directly for the Head of Finance & supported by our external advisors, you'll have a varied role, working across all areas of finance and taxation.ResponsibilitiesWorking with our external tax accountants, take responsibility for the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements for our German parent companyAssist with financial processes for our subsidiary entities (currently USA and UK)Support the Head of Finance with our internal and external reportingPlay a key role in our financial planning and forecasting processesTrack actual spend against budget and analyze & investigate discrepanciesManage Invoicing and Accounts ReceivableSupport the continuous improvement of our Finance & Accounting processes and policiesAct as the day to day contact for our external tax advisorWork closely with key internal stakeholdersBENEFITSCompetitive package and share optionsFlexibility for remote work from home or anywhere elseFlexible working hoursWorking at the heart of a passionate, impact-driven team from around the worldA chance to do meaningful work and further our vision of accelerating scientific breakthroughs and global innovationREQUIREMENTSYou have 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a start-up, in-house, or external accounting firmYou have extensive knowledge in German HGBYou have ideally worked with DATEV, familiarity with other ERP software (Netsuite, Xero, Quickbooks, etc) is a plusYou have good verbal and written communication skills in German and EnglishYou have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and you enjoy working with dataOwnership mentality, financial savviness, creativity, and drive to get things doneYou are a self-starter with a track record of independently leading new initiativesYou bring a passion for working and learning in a fast-growing, mission-focused businessKnowledge of international accounting standards, e.g. IFRS and US GAAP is a plusAbout usMorressier is the leading platform for conferences designed for enduring value.
