The Opportunity
Adobe Firefly runs on a fast-growing ecosystem of third-party AI models — for image, video, audio, and more. This Principal Program Manager role owns the operational engine that turns that ecosystem into reliable, on-time launches across Firefly and surfaces like Photoshop and Premiere.
You partner closely with the Principal Product Manager, who owns partner model strategy. They decide what we build; you own how it gets built, by whom, and on what timeline. Engineering, legal, finance, security, BD, and product marketing all rely on you for clear status and next steps, and you'll report progress and risk to senior leadership regularly.
What You'll Do
Program Execution & Launch Management
- Own end-to-end program management for new partner model onboarding and launches
- Build and run the onboarding workflow: finance, legal, privacy, security, and engineering readiness
- Set schedules and manage risk across simultaneous launches
Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication
- Align Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Security, and BD on plans and status
- Report program status and potential issues to executive leadership
- Maintain a single source of truth for launch health across all partner models
Risk, Dependency & Capacity Management
- Track capacity and dependencies across partner models, flagging risk early
- Own readiness, rollback, and contingency planning for launches and deprecations
- Lead triage for operational issues (rate limits, throttling, access) from field and support teams
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Evolve the onboarding-to-deprecation process as the program scales
- Simplify cross-functional processes without adding overhead
- Lead special projects for leadership on the partner model program
What You Need to Succeed
- 10+ years in Technical Program Management or Program Management, ideally in a platform or ecosystem environment
- Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional, distributed programs
- Working fluency with APIs, inference cost/metering, data residency, and rate limiting — enough to manage execution credibly
- Strong influencing skills; able to align teams without direct authority
- Comfortable in fast-changing AI environments with days'-notice launches
- Clear, structured communicator who can brief executives under time pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus
