As a Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will lead the marketing strategy for Creative product portfolio in Japan. In this role, you will connect customer needs, product strategy, and business goals. You will shape how our products are positioned, launched, and adopted in Japan. This role requires a highly customer-centric, insights-led, and data-driven approach to defining the product marketing strategy and key growth levers for the business. The ideal candidate operates with strong ownership, thrives in ambiguity, and has a proven ability to influence cross-functional team members in a matrixed organization.
What you’ll do
- Own the end-to-end product marketing strategy and business outcomes for Creative product offerings in Japan.
- Develop deep market expertise, including customer insights, competitive dynamics, and growth levers specific to Japan.
- Partner with distributed team members to bring regional insights into product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and execution with local teams across campaign marketing, media, PR, GTM, and partnerships.
Key deliverables
- Annual strategic plan outlining priority categories and product strategy for Japan
- Clear target audience definition and articulation of customer needs
- Marketing strategy, including positioning, value proposition, and messaging
- Growth levers across product, GTM, pricing, and partnerships
- Success metrics (objectives and key results) to track and scale growth initiatives
- Operating model definition, including squad formation, DACI, and category cadence
- Budget allocation strategy at category level
Requirements
- 10-15 years of experience in marketing, preferably within technology or digital-first companies
- Proven experience operating in leadership roles within highly matrixed, multinational organizations
- Strong program management capabilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives end-to-end
- Expertise in market research and data analytics, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in influencing collaborators
- Highly collaborative outlook, with strong cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in global teams
