Accountabilities:
- Analyze RFPs, architectural drawings, specifications, and related bid documents to develop accurate project estimates
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, fabrication, and installation considerations
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for assigned architectural metals projects
- Identify and assess risks related to scope, cost, constructability, and manufacturability
- Gather and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to support accurate pricing models
- Prepare and submit bid forms, qualifications, and supporting documentation in alignment with RFP requirements
- Present estimates, assumptions, and cost strategies during bid reviews and internal production meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, architects, designers, contractors, and vendors throughout the estimating process
- Conduct market and labor cost research to ensure estimates reflect current industry conditions
- Continuously improve estimating accuracy through training, industry research, and process refinement
- 3–5 years of experience in estimating within commercial construction or a related field
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Solid understanding of construction principles, materials, and fabrication processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and ERP or estimating systems
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Experience in architectural metals, façade systems, or similar specialty construction is a plus
