Must be willing to travel to Nocatee, Murabella, and Durbin clinics. 

 

We're seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with a strong cardiac background, including knowledge of cardiac testing, medications, and electrophysiology. As the lead, you'll serve as the key liaison between patients, providers, and staff while supporting daily operations and stepping in wherever needed to ensure exceptional patient care. The Medical Assistant Lead is responsible for patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed health care provider. The Medical Assistant Lead must be able to execute on day-to-day workflows as communicated and coached by their leadership. It is expected that the majority of the Lead’s daily work will continue to be the same as Medical Assistant, but that these additional responsibilities will be added.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the daily operations and responsibilities of patient flow within each assigned area, including the Front Desk and Medical Assistants.
  • Serve as the first-level "go-to" person for providers and staff by troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Assist with provider schedules and coordinate staff vacation requests and sick call-outs to ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
  • Review the payroll system for accuracy, resolve issues, approve vacation scheduling, and monitor/manage overtime.
  • Provide first-level support for patients regarding concerns involving staff and providers.
  • Oversee both front and back office staff to ensure smooth office operations that promote teamwork and foster a positive working environment.
  • Clearly communicate and monitor the implementation of new processes within the practice.
  • Facilitate the training and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Provide ongoing, objective, and constructive input regarding employee hiring and performance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management within the scope of the position.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience

 

Licensing Requirements: 

  • Medical Assistant certification at time of hire or within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association.
