Job SummaryHR Systems enables secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that power the employee experience across HP's global workforce. As part of the HR Technology organization, the HR Systems Security Analyst serves as a recognized expert in Workday Security, HR technology governance, and identity and access management.This role is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security and access controls across Workday and other HR technology platforms. The position partners closely with HR, HRIT, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, Audit, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, and efficient solutions that support business objectives while safeguarding employee data.Working on highly complex initiatives, this role leads access governance programs, security architecture enhancements, automation efforts, and enterprise-wide projects that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the employee experience. As a trusted advisor, the HR Systems Security Analyst influences governance practices, drives process improvements, and provides thought leadership in support of HP's evolving HR technology ecosystem.Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, configuration, implementation, and governance of security frameworks across Workday and other HR technology platforms, ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient access management solutions.
  • Define, implement, and maintain role-based access models, security groups, domain policies, business process security policies, and governance standards.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert and advisor for complex access management requirements, escalations, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead all phases of the solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
  • Partner with HR, HRIT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.
  • Lead and oversee SOX compliance activities, access certifications, audit reviews, segregation-of-duties (SoD) assessments, and risk mitigation programs across HR technology platforms.
  • Assess security and compliance risks and develop solutions that effectively balance business needs, user experience, and governance requirements.
  • Drive enterprise access management initiatives, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), provisioning, deprovisioning, role optimization, and automation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with enterprise Identity and Access Management teams to establish long-term access governance strategies, role optimization frameworks, and automation capabilities that enhance security, compliance, and user experience.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.
  • Lead HR technology security planning and execution for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and other business transformation initiatives.
  • Investigate and resolve complex access, security, and system-related issues while ensuring timely and effective remediation.
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation, standards, operating procedures, training materials, and support resources.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members while fostering knowledge sharing and capability development across the organization.
  • Represent HR Systems Security in executive reviews, compliance discussions, vendor engagements, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Champion continuous improvement through automation, workflow optimization, reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Typically, 7–10 years of experience in HR Systems, HR Technology Security, Identity and Access Management, Information Security, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced experience designing, configuring, and supporting Workday Security or comparable enterprise SaaS security platforms.
  • Advanced experience working with enterprise HR applications, security controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading large-scale cross-functional projects and enterprise initiatives.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements in a global environment.
Preferred
  • Workday Security Certification.
  • Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance programs, audits, and access certification processes.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing initiatives.
  • Experience with security reporting, analytics, and dashboard development.
  • Experience implementing automation and workflow solutions within enterprise HR systems.
