We are looking for a talented and motivated candidate to join our Marsh FACC Team based in Mexico’s Office: Reinsurance Claims Leader

The Claims Leader will be responsible for leading, developing and executing the Marsh Re FAC Claims strategy in Mexico. This individual will serve as the senior claims advisor to clients, brokers, reinsurers and internal stakeholders, ensuring technical excellence, commercial impact and outstanding client outcomes.
The role requires a highly experienced leader capable of building trusted relationships across the market, driving collaboration between Placement and Claims teams, and positioning Claims as a strategic differentiator for Marsh Re. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen, executive presence and the ability to lead teams through complex and high-value claims.

We will count on you to:


1. Strategic Leadership
- Lead and execute the Claims strategy for Marsh Re FAC Mexico, aligned with regional and global priorities.

- Build a high-performing Claims function focused on technical excellence, client advocacy and operational consistency.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contribute actively to regional initiatives, sharing best practices and driving consistency across LAC

2.Claims Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight of complex facultative reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business.
- Develop claims strategies that maximize recoveries while protecting clients’ commercial interests.
- Deliver timely, technically sound and commercially balanced claims advice.
- Ensure effective coordination throughout the entire claims lifecycle.

3.Client & Market Leadership
- Act as the trusted claims advisor for clients, brokers, reinsurers, and LCPA.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, reinsurers and strategic market stakeholders.
- Lead complex negotiations involving coverage, liability, quantum and settlement strategies.
- Represent Marsh Re in strategic client meetings, market discussions and industry forums.

4. Commercial Impact
- Support business development, client retention and growth initiatives through claims expertise.
- Partner closely with Placement teams to strengthen Marsh Re’s value proposition.
- Participate in client presentations, renewal strategies and major account discussions.
- Identify opportunities where Claims can create additional value and strengthen client relationships.

5.People Leadership
- Build, develop and inspire a high-performing Claims team.
- Coach and mentor team members while fostering professional development and succession planning.
- Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Create an inclusive and high-performance culture focused on excellence.

6. Operational Excellence
- Ensure high standards of claims governance, reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor service quality, operational performance and key performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, technology and operational efficiency.
- Drive consistent adoption of best practices across the Claims function.

What you need to have:

- Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 9 year minimum  experience in complex reinsurance claims.
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance wordings, coverage analysis and claims negotiations.
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Experience engaging with senior clients, reinsurers and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the Latin American reinsurance market is highly desirable.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
