As a Back of House Supervisor, you’re not just supervising daily back of house operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Supervise back of house operations: Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across all kitchen support areas
- Lead back of house team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee inventory and ordering: Monitor stock levels of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and supplies, and place orders to meet business needs for events and daily operations
- Control stock and costs: Perform regular stock takes, identify loss patterns, and enforce measures to minimize waste while maintaining par levels
- Oversee purchasing and invoicing: Raise purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality products within budget
- Support cross-department collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Events, and other teams to support seamless operations and maintain strong working relationships
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
