Senior Developer (Salesforce, Oracle DB)

Escazú, Costa RicaFull-timePosted Jul 20, 2026

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce applications — Visualforce pages, Apex classes and triggers, Salesforce Flows, and SOQL-driven data logic — supporting client entitlement, Code Redemption, Knowledge Article management, and Case Management workflows.
  • Develop and maintain REST API integrations between Salesforce and Oracle Database backends, ensuring reliable, performant data exchange across enterprise systems.
  • Write optimized SOQL and Oracle SQL/PL-SQL queries to support reporting, data migration, and integration use cases across the Service portfolio.
  • Design and implement Knowledge Article structures and Case Management configurations to improve support workflows and self-service resolution rates.
  • Apply the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver high-quality solutions — from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Salesforce and Oracle DB layers; identify root causes and implement durable fixes.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, System Analysts, and QA to translate business requirements into well-designed Salesforce and database solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation — data models, integration maps, configuration guides — for owned applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD delivery practices using Azure DevOps.

Who You Are:

You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. You act with a clear sense of ownership and take personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and failures. You effectively communicate in various settings and provide timely, helpful information to individuals across the organization. You partner with others to get work done and create teamwork that allows the organization to achieve shared objectives. You step up to address difficult issues and are willing to champion ideas on their merits.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with proven hands-on delivery on the Salesforce platform.
  • Salesforce platform (mandatory): proficiency in Visualforce page development, Apex (classes, triggers, batch), declarative Flows, and SOQL — Salesforce must be a primary skill with real delivery experience, not administration-only exposure.
  • Oracle Database and SQL/PL-SQL: working knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL-SQL basics — queries, stored procedures, and data integration patterns connecting Oracle DB to Salesforce or REST API layers.
  • JavaScript and REST APIs: experience consuming and producing REST APIs; JavaScript for front-end logic within Salesforce pages and integrations.
  • Knowledge Articles and Case Management: hands-on experience configuring or developing Salesforce Service Cloud features — Case Management workflows, Knowledge Article structures, entitlement processes, or self-service portal components.
  • Agile and CI/CD practices: familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar pipelines; sprint-based delivery and version control. Advanced English communication skills.
  • Advanced English skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) development experience — ability to build and maintain LWC-based UI components alongside Visualforce pages.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification, or Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant certification.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Experience Cloud (Communities), or Sales Cloud entitlement and contract management modules.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data migration tools (Data Loader, DX CLI, MuleSoft connectors) and sandbox management practices.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or Oracle DB integration patterns as they connect to Salesforce via middleware or direct API.
  • Azure DevOps pipeline experience for CI/CD deployment of Salesforce metadata packages.
  • Experience working in international, cross-timezone Agile delivery teams.
