Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise the design, planning, installation, and testing of electrical systems across construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and client requirements
- Hire, train, and manage electricians and other electrical staff, providing guidance, evaluating performance, and resolving conflicts
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other superintendents to maintain workflow and meet deadlines
- Prepare budgets, track materials, monitor costs, and implement corrective actions to keep projects within financial targets
- Enforce safety protocols, ensure adherence to National Electrical Codes, and maintain a safe work environment
- Interpret blueprints, recommend construction methods, and provide technical assistance to resolve on-site issues
- Maintain records of project progress, violations, and corrective actions, and report updates to management and clients
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and power distribution
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
- Familiarity with construction documents, contracts, and project management software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with teams, clients, and contractors
