Accountabilities:
- Partner with R&D, Product, and Engineering teams to define requirements, identify dependencies, anticipate risks, and build realistic delivery plans.
- Translate complex scientific goals into clear execution strategies that align researchers, product teams, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain roadmaps that balance innovation, technical uncertainty, timelines, and business impact.
- Establish program management practices, including execution rituals, checkpoints, reviews, and communication cadences tailored to research environments.
- Identify potential bottlenecks early and create mitigation plans before issues impact critical milestones.
- Lead cross-functional coordination for launches, research milestones, product releases, and high-impact deliverables.
- Support resource planning discussions by providing data-driven insights and helping leadership make informed investment decisions.
- Build trust across teams by creating shared processes and communication frameworks between scientific, technical, product, and finance stakeholders.
- Improve program visibility through dashboards, tooling, automation, and operational processes that teams can effectively adopt.
- Ensure execution remains adaptable as scientific discoveries, priorities, and technical requirements evolve.
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management or a similar role, with experience supporting R&D, engineering, scientific, or deep technology teams.
- Demonstrated success managing complex programs where milestones, timelines, and outcomes carried significant business impact.
- Proven ability to recover struggling initiatives, resolve delivery challenges, and bring programs back on track.
- Experience building and managing ROI-driven roadmaps for highly technical or research-oriented projects.
- Ability to quickly understand new scientific or technical domains and make informed program decisions.
- Advanced degree in a technical field or significant experience working closely with scientific teams preferred.
- Experience partnering with finance and product leadership to connect technical execution with strategic investments.
- Strong risk management mindset with the ability to anticipate future challenges and prepare mitigation strategies.
- Experience working in startup environments or organizations where priorities evolve quickly.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical experts, executives, and business stakeholders.
- Experience with program management tools, dashboards, automation workflows, or operational systems is highly desirable.
- Background in biotech, biopharma, machine learning, drug discovery, or related scientific fields is a plus.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance-based incentives or bonuses where applicable, and equity participation.
- Estimated U.S. base salary range between $131,200 and $246,000 depending on geographic location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
