Accountabilities:

    The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing territory strategies that increase sales performance, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships. This role requires a proactive commercial leader who can identify opportunities, manage complex sales cycles, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

    • Develop and execute territory growth plans across California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, contractors, engineers, municipalities, utilities, and industrial customers.
    • Drive project opportunities by influencing specifications, expanding channel partnerships, and developing conversion strategies.
    • Manage and grow assigned manufacturer representative and distribution networks through business planning, training, performance reviews, and joint sales initiatives.
    • Maintain a strong sales pipeline through disciplined CRM usage, forecasting, opportunity tracking, and account planning.
    • Identify emerging market opportunities, new customer segments, competitive trends, and areas for business expansion.
    • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product development, service improvements, and strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with operations, engineering, marketing, finance, customer service, and supply chain teams to improve customer experience and remove barriers to growth.
    • Develop and deliver product, application, and sales training programs for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • Address customer challenges by coordinating solutions related to quality, delivery, production, scheduling, billing, and service performance.
    • Represent the organization at customer meetings, project sites, trade events, and industry engagements while demonstrating professionalism and accountability.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with experience growing territories, developing strategic accounts, and managing complex sales opportunities in industrial, mechanical, infrastructure, or related markets. Strong relationship-building skills, business judgment, and the ability to operate independently are essential for success in this role.

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent relevant industry experience.
      • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in industrial, mechanical, waterworks, infrastructure, or related markets.
      • Proven track record of territory growth through customer acquisition, channel development, project influence, and market expansion.
      • Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans while consistently achieving revenue objectives.
      • Strong business acumen with excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
      • Ability to influence customers, partners, and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
      • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, adaptability, and initiative in a growth-focused environment.
      • Experience using CRM systems, forecasting tools, pipeline management processes, and opportunity tracking platforms.
      • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • 5+ years of sales experience in industrial, mechanical, waterworks, construction, or related infrastructure industries.
        • Experience working with distributors, manufacturers’ representatives, contractors, engineers, municipalities, utilities, or industrial facilities across Western U.S. markets.
        • Technical or construction-related degree such as Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
        • Experience launching new products, developing new markets, building territories, or contributing to the growth of a new business division.
        • Strong knowledge of CRM management, sales forecasting, channel development, and project-based selling strategies.
