In 2025, we generated almost $28 billion in sales and we served customers in more than 160 countries.We make what matters work.EATON is hiring aLow Voltage System Assembly (LVSA) - Post-Order Engineering Lead (m/f/d)This position is based at our manufacturing plant in Schrems, AustriaThe main focus of this position is to lead and develop the electrical and mechanical engineering team to deliver high-quality, standardised, production-ready LVSA designs as well as to ensure on-time IFC release and seamless coordination with manufacturing, testing, and project execution.What you’ll do:
Engineering Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a team of electrical and mechanical engineersBalance workload across projects and build technical capability through mentoringFoster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvementEngineering Delivery & PerformanceEnsure timely delivery of schematics, mechanical layouts, and complete EBOM packagesDrive on-time IFC release aligned with project milestonesMonitor engineering KPIs — quality, rework, and productivityTechnical Governance & QualityEnsure compliance with IEC standards and internal engineering guidelinesEstablish and enforce design rules to minimise errors and late changesStandardisation & EfficiencyDevelop and maintain reusable design templates, modular components (e.g., feeders, layouts), and engineering standardsDrive efficiency through reuse, modularisation, and digital toolsCross-Functional CollaborationEnsure strong alignment with Project/Order Managers, Work Preparation (EBOM → mBOM readiness), Manufacturing Engineering (DFM), and Production & Test EngineeringSupport resolution of technical issues during assembly and FATEngineering Change ManagementOversee customer and internal engineering changes (ECR/ECO), ensuring controlled updates to drawings, BOMs, and documentation with minimal impact on production and scheduleContinuous ImprovementAnalyse engineering issues and feedback from production, FAT, and customers to drive improvements in design quality, manufacturability, and engineering processesQualifications and skills:
Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)5+ years in LV switchgear design engineering within a project-based or industrial manufacturing environmentProven experience leading and developing engineering teamsStrong understanding of LVSA architecture, system design, and manufacturing constraintsKnowledge of IEC 61439 standards and project execution processesFamiliarity with engineering tools (e.g., EPLAN Electric P8) is an advantageWhat Sets You ApartA technical leader who builds capability — coaching engineers, not just assigning workStructured, process-driven, and comfortable managing competing prioritiesA clear communicator who bridges engineering, production, and project managementStrong sense of ownership with confident decision-making under pressureWhat we offer:
