Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Warehouse Operations Associate to support our manufacturing and office operations. As part of our Site Ops team, you will report into our Warehouse Operations Manager and will execute day-to-day operations, support our technical operations, and be willing to roll up your sleeves to quickly tackle facility management issues. What you'll do:
Execute high-volume shipping/receiving transactions and inventory reconciliation with Oracle to maintain real-time data integrity.
Accountable for end-to-end handling of Dangerous Goods, including; prepare declarations, ensure proper labeling, packaging and documentation of hazardous materials in strict accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
Design and execute specialized packaging solutions for oversized, fragile, or irregularly shaped assets that fall outside standard parcel dimensions.
Coordinate with LTL and specialized carriers to optimize load-scheduling and freight costs for non-standard or time-sensitive shipments.
Organize and maintain consumables inventory and perform cycle counts per schedule.
Manage the shipping of items to off-site storage and courier runs between sites in Somerville, including wrapping, crating, logging, and labeling items for shipment.
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering and Lab teams to facilitate safe movement of R&D assets, samples and prototype hardware.
Conduct a safety checklist weekly on all material handling equipment to ensure proper working order.
What you'll bring:
3-5 years experience in managing LTL and specialized freight carriers, including a strong understanding of Bill of Lading requirements and freight classes
Current or prior experience shipping dangerous goods with accuracy
Ability to safely operate a variety of material handling equipment (pallet jacks, stackers, etc.)
Organized and detail-oriented individual
Strong communication skills within a group of peers and the broader organization
Willingness to share ideas and contribute to creative problem solving
Expected to regularly lift 35 to 50 lbs.
Oracle experience a plus
