This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting, systems automation, and cross-functional commercial operations, with direct impact on how revenue is recognized, reported, and scaled across a global software business. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, speed, and consistency in revenue reporting under IFRS 15, while helping design highly automated and scalable processes across the order-to-cash lifecycle. The position involves close collaboration with product, sales, legal, FP&A, and systems teams to align contracts, pricing models, and accounting treatment. You will also play a key role in modernizing revenue systems and improving ERP and CRM integrations to reduce manual work and increase reporting reliability. Operating in a fast-growing, remote-first environment, you will help shape how financial reporting supports strategic decision-making. This is a leadership role with both operational ownership and strategic influence over revenue architecture and policy.

Accountabilities:

    • Lead revenue recognition processes across the full order-to-cash cycle, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards.
    • Collaborate with product, sales, legal, FP&A, and operations teams to design standardized contract structures and scalable revenue models.
    • Drive automation and optimization of revenue systems, including ERP platforms such as NetSuite and related financial tools.
    • Review non-standard contracts and new product offerings to assess revenue recognition implications and ensure accounting accuracy.
    • Manage month-end close activities including reconciliations, variance analysis, and revenue reporting deliverables.
    • Develop and maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks over revenue accounting processes.
    • Lead and mentor a growing team focused on revenue accounting, systems improvement, and process excellence.
    • Act as key liaison for external auditors on revenue-related accounting matters and compliance reviews.
    • Requirements:

      • Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent, with strong technical accounting expertise.
      • Deep knowledge of IFRS 15 and revenue recognition in SaaS, subscription, or software-based business models.
      • Proven experience in revenue accounting, ideally within high-growth or multi-entity international environments.
      • Strong background working with financial systems such as ERP, CRM, and revenue recognition tools (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred).
      • Experience designing or improving automated revenue recognition or finance systems workflows.
      • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring finance or accounting teams.
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
      • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, accountability, and process discipline.
