Accountabilities:
- Support clients throughout implementation projects by helping configure solutions and ensuring a positive user experience.
- Analyze client accounting and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with platform functionality.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements to define effective solution approaches.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to deliver implementation plans successfully and on schedule.
- Perform data analysis on client information to support integrations, validations, and system configuration.
- Provide timely support and solutions to user questions, issues, and operational challenges.
- Deliver training sessions and end-user support to help clients maximize platform adoption.
- Participate in user meetings, focus groups, and requirement discussions to improve solutions.
- Develop implementation approaches, documentation, and processes for new system capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows and customer outcomes.
- Travel occasionally to client locations when required.
- University degree or college diploma in accounting, finance, business analysis, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry within finance or accounting functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting operations, including daily activities, month-end, and year-end processes.
- Knowledge of IFRS financial reporting, analytics, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with insurance and accounting software platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, NetSuite, SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, business users, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Professional designation such as CPA, CFP, or another relevant financial certification.
- Business Analysis certification or accreditation.
- Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) or quality assurance processes.
- Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or progress toward certification.
- Competitive annual compensation package of $80,000–$115,000 CAD, including base salary and performance-based incentives.
