In this role, you will impact the quality control processes by managing the team that utilizes advanced radiographic techniques to identify defects and ensure the integrity of pressure vessels, ultimately enhancing customer trust and satisfaction.

 

You will report directly to our Quality Manager, and you’ll work out of our Palmetto, FL location with an on-site work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must possess or have the ability to qualify for company Radiography level III within 6 months of hire.
  • Owner for training, certification, and upkeep of certification of all inspection personnel in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.  Be the mentor and trainer for Level II inspectors.
  • Maintain records of current qualifications of personnel (NDE Certifications) in accordance with SNT-TC-1A including regular documented audits of radiography inspections.
  • Be the Radiation Safety Officer for the location.  Ensure all systems and documentation meet all state and local code requirements.
  • Drive inspection efficiency and cost reduction by effectively reviewing and directing the activities of the inspection and test personnel in the areas of inspection methods, non-destructive testing and training.
  • Assure customer satisfaction by clearly establishing needs and effectively translating these needs into inspection methodology, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing management to reduce total manufacturing costs by pre-planning and interfacing the quality effort with the manufacturing process.  Analyze data to detect trends and areas for improvement, supporting data-driven decision-making
  • Advise manufacturing management of quality problems and take corrective action.
  • Coach, train and audit team to perform effective and efficient radiographic inspections of pressure vessels and piping in compliance with AMSE Section VIII and AMSE B31.3 standards.
  • Interpret radiographic images in accordance with ASME code requirements to identify defects and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to develop, implement and improve inspection protocols and standards.

You Must Have:

  • ASNT Level III qualification in Radiographic Testing.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing/inspection experience is required with a broad knowledge of pressure vessels, welding, fitting, design, testing, inspection procedures, non-destructive testing, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Radiographic Testing inspection and interpretation criteria for pressure vessels and piping.
  • Proficiency in using radiographic equipment and software for image analysis.

 

We Value:

  • Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or related field.
  • Experience in pressure vessel manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
