Supervisory Police Officer

About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Chief of Police who is responsible for law enforcement operations with supervision of law enforcement patrols that function 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Oversee and direct work of the Police Division. Specifically responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with existing policies and procedures regarding police operations and administration. Perform duties as the senior on duty supervisory DA Police Law Enforcement Officer within the Division, assist and guide the activities of subordinates engaged in law enforcement work. Direct the activities of 50-60 civilians and contract support personnel to include monitoring progress of major projects. Make decisions on project priorities to meet changing requirements Identify problem areas and makes necessary changes in policies and procedures to correct deficiencies and to meet short and long range objectives.
