You will report directly to the VECE Engineering Supervisor for Americas and collaborate in a dynamic, multi-cultural and cross-functional environment based in our Mexico City location, working on a hybrid schedule.

- Deliver innovative and cost-effective mechanical solutions for product redesigns to optimize performance, efficiency, and manufacturability across the Smart Energy portfolio.
- Utilize value engineering principles to reduce production costs while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with industry and Honeywell norms.
- Dive deep into critical analysis of mechanical processes to redefine workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve end-to-end product lifecycle performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including R&D engineers, supply chain professionals, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical changes.
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers, contributing to the cultivation of technical expertise within the team, and staying updated on emerging industry technologies and trends.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, product development, and/or manufacturing optimization
- Skilled in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or Catia)
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and value engineering principles
- Experience working with different materials and optimizing component costs without compromising quality
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proven ability to work in fast-paced environments
