This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
As a Painter and Decorator, you will support the Engineering Department in preserving and enhancing the hotel’s refined aesthetic across all guest and public spaces. Through precision, discretion, and technical expertise, you will ensure that every painted surface and decorative finish meets the exacting standards of an ultra‑luxury environment.
- Preparing, painting, and finishing guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces to an exceptional standard
- Delivering all decorating schedules on time while maintaining the highest levels of quality and attention to detail
- Ensuring the safe handling, storage, and use of paints, finishes, and solvents
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in immaculate condition at all times
- Adhering rigorously to all Health & Safety policies and departmental procedures
- Demonstrating polished, professional, and discreet guest interaction consistent with five‑star service expectations
What are we looking for?
Painters and Decorators within our Hilton luxury portfolio work as custodians of the property’s visual excellence and brand standards. To succeed in this role, you will consistently demonstrate the following attributes:
- A recognised trade qualification in Painting & Decorating (preferred)
- Proven experience in professional painting and decorating
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills exercised with professionalism
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting agreed timelines
- A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Experience working within luxury hospitality, heritage, or high‑end residential environments is highly desirable.
