Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, integrate, and commission advanced process control and analytics applications for industrial customers.
- Perform technical project activities including process assessment, system design, data analysis, mathematical modeling, application development, installation, and commissioning.
- Develop predictive models that analyze process behavior and optimize production quality, capacity, and energy consumption.
- Configure online applications that dynamically calculate process adjustments and improve operational performance.
- Support hardware installation, system integration, and connection with existing manufacturing systems.
- Identify technical risks, project challenges, scope changes, and opportunities that may impact project delivery.
- Monitor application performance, conduct system health checks, and provide recommendations to maximize solution value.
- Provide ongoing product, engineering, and application support to existing customers.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and best practice materials to support continuous improvement.
- Support commercial activities, including identifying additional opportunities and contributing to project proposals.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain relevant technical certifications.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including customer site visits and occasional international assignments.
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States required; employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, typically for one- to two-week customer engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a strong focus on continuous process modeling, statistics, or process control preferred.
- 8+ years of experience as a process engineer, control engineer, or similar role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 5+ years of experience implementing model predictive control applications preferred.
- Experience with instrumentation, industrial control systems, and supervisory control applications.
- Experience developing business cases for advanced process control or industrial analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of industrial computing, cloud technologies, networking, cybersecurity, OPC, and/or SQL.
- Experience configuring DCS, PLC, SCADA, or HMI systems, particularly when integrating external applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
- Experience with industrial automation products and platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with predictive emissions monitoring systems is a plus.
- Additional language skills such as Spanish, French, or Portuguese are beneficial.
