Position: Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:15 am – 4:45 pm 

Pay: $20-$26/hr DOQ

Location: Essex, CT

Essex Meadows is seeking a hospitality focused Maintenance Technician to join our team! 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain residential painting schedule.
  • Maintain the esthetics of high traffic common areas. 
  • Perform drywall repairs as needed. 
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work.
  • Perform record keeping tasks associated with work orders.
  • Perform general labor under supervisor’s request.
  • Perform snow removal duties when necessary.
  • Assist Lead Mechanic and P.M. Mechanic as needed.
  • Keep repair parts inventory up to date.
  • Be available for emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Previous experience in senior living or healthcare setting is highly desired
  • Previous Plumbing/HVAC experience preferred 

 All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
