St. Luke’s Health - The Woodlands Hospital is a 245 bed facility serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. The hospital has been recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and is proud to serve as the clinical home for the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center. The hospital was awarded an “A” hospital safety grade by The Leapfrog Group in both 2023 and 2025. Clinical services provided include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level III nurseries), surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorder services.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.

  • Demonstrated mastery of all Tech I Accountabilities / Responsibilities and have complete a minimum of 1 year service in the Tech 1 position
  • Perform in‐vitro/in‐vivo studies as outlined in the nuclear medicine procedure manuals. Make determinations of the validity of the data collected before submission for interpretation
  • Mentor new employees and students on the proper use of the camera / computer systems, study procedures
  • Appropriately and professionally react to process or procedure deviations.
  • Assists with the formal clinical/technical education process of the department by preparing and presenting 2 staff in‐services per year on a topical subject
  • Independently perform all Functions regarding the safe and compliant operation of the radiopharmacy and all associated documentation. Educate and mentor qualified staff on proper radio, pharmacy procedures

Job Requirements

Required

  • Three (3) years Nuclear Medicine experience, upon hire
  • Medical Radiographer: TX, upon hire and
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
