Medical Lab Technician - Pathology Lab
Role responsibilities
The technician is responsible for independently performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues. All testing must be conducted in accordance with laboratory policies and various regulatory guidelines including FDA, CAP, and OSHA.
Requirements
Candidates must have an Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, or meet specific military medical laboratory training requirements. Additionally, applicants must be eligible for ASCP or AMT certification and obtain Medical Laboratory Technician certification within 18 months of hire.
