EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

The Employee Experience Specialist will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment that enhances employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall experience. The role will support strategies that improve workplace culture with a focus on activities, processes, systems and programs, and ensure employees feel valued and supported throughout their employment journey. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and excited to help our employees thrive at SpaceX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the strategy, development and execution of all Employee Experience activities & initiatives at SpaceX (including onsite social events, speaker series, and mentorship programs, etc.)
- Plan and execute engaging events to celebrate holidays & business milestones (SpaceX Anniversary, Veterans Day, Halloween, etc.) throughout the calendar year, with a primary focus on the Redmond & Woodinville locations. Travel to other sites to support when necessary.
- Support companywide employee gifting, milestone anniversary & recognition programs
- Provide guidance to our SpaceX Communities (Employee Social Groups): manage budget requests, help grow local networks at each site and train SpaceX Community Leads
- Maintain and update internal communication channels (Employee Experience website, calendar, weekly newsletters, etc.) in collaboration with Internal Communications Manager
- Track engagement, budget and ROI across all SpaceX locations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in human resources, event planning or employee experience/culture; OR 6+ years of experience supporting equity and inclusion initiatives, human resources or employee experience/culture
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working on employee inclusion and/or culture initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
- High level of self-motivation, prioritization, and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic organization with rapidly changing needs
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications
- High level of attention to detail & commitment to quality
- Prior event planning experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Up to 20% travel to other SpaceX locations
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level 1: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
