Accountabilities:
- Design and execute statewide community organizing and field strategies that drive advocacy, voter engagement, volunteer mobilization, and GOTV efforts.
- Build, cultivate, and mobilize a broad and diverse network of supporters, ensuring representation from communities most impacted by child care challenges.
- Plan and lead community events, forums, and coalition gatherings while strengthening partnerships with aligned organizations.
- Represent the organization at in-person and virtual events, building trust and long-term relationships within Vermont communities.
- Develop systems for tracking engagement, campaign performance, and organizing impact using data-driven tools and reporting frameworks.
- Manage supporter databases and segmentation tools (e.g., CRM systems such as EveryAction or Mobilize) to support targeted outreach and advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with communications teams to support digital organizing, storytelling, and content development across email, social media, and campaigns.
- Capture and share community stories, visuals, and insights to strengthen narrative strategy and amplify lived experiences.
- At least one full cycle of experience in political, advocacy, or grassroots organizing with direct responsibility for field engagement or mobilization.
- Strong ability to build relationships across diverse communities and translate lived experiences into compelling advocacy narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex policy issues for broad audiences.
- Highly self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with voter engagement tools such as VAN/SmartVAN and CRM platforms like EveryAction or similar systems preferred.
- Experience supporting digital organizing, GOTV efforts, or coalition-building initiatives is an asset.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Vermont and participate in occasional evening and weekend activities during campaign periods.
- Strong adaptability, collaboration skills, and comfort working in a lean, mission-driven organization.
- Prior experience in Vermont advocacy or grassroots ecosystems is highly valued.
- Competitive salary range of $69,000–$80,000 for a 32-hour full-time work week (with potential flexibility for part-time arrangements)
