Independent Contractor – CPT-11265 Social Media Marketing & Community Engagement Virtual Assistant/Marketing VA/Junior-Advanced Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
Client has a nonprofit focused on introducing golf and leadership development to underserved youth, is seeking a Social Media Marketing & Community Engagement Virtual Assistant to help grow its digital presence, increase brand awareness, and strengthen relationships with sponsors, partners, donors, and grant organizations.

The primary focus of this role is creating meaningful, story-driven content that highlights the organization's mission while actively engaging with the online community. Beyond content creation, this role will support light marketing administration, relationship management, and inbox coordination as the organization grows.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can make thoughtful marketing recommendations, identify opportunities for improvement, and operate with minimal supervision while maintaining the organization's authentic voice. Limited use of AI is expected—the emphasis is on genuine storytelling and human-centered communication.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Social Media Management

  • Create approximately two high-quality social media posts each week using existing photos, videos, and marketing collateral

  • Repurpose content into engaging, story-driven posts across social media platforms

  • Maintain a consistent content calendar and posting schedule

  • Actively engage with followers, sponsors, brands, and community partners

  • Monitor social media performance and recommend ongoing improvements

Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Research nonprofit organizations, comparable youth programs, and competitors for content ideas and best practices

  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility, engagement, and community awareness

  • Recommend new content ideas, storytelling approaches, and campaign strategies

  • Support event promotion and fundraising campaign visibility

  • Assist with marketing materials, flyers, newsletters, and promotional communications as needed

Relationship Management & Administrative Support

  • Monitor and organize the organization's marketing and executive email inboxes

  • Coordinate follow-up communications with sponsors, partners, and community organizations

  • Maintain organized trackers for sponsorship, partnership, and outreach activities

  • Assist with light administrative support related to marketing initiatives

  • Help ensure important follow-ups and deadlines are completed on time

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.


Skills

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:

  • Previous social media management and content creation experience required
  • Strong content writing and storytelling abilities required
  • Experience supporting nonprofit organizations preferred
  • Community engagement and social media growth experience preferred
  • Newsletter and email marketing experience preferred
  • Canva or similar graphic design experience preferred
  • Strong written English communication skills with a natural understanding of tone, grammar, and colloquial language
  • Experience using AI as a support tool while maintaining authentic, human-centered content preferred

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 10 Hours
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)
  • Daily Working Time: Flexible (Preferred engagement between 6:00 AM–8:00 AM or 7:00 AM–9:00 AM EST, with flexibility based on campaign needs)

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 10 hours/week
  • Daily Working Time:  Flexible (Preferred engagement between 6:00 AM–8:00 AM or 7:00 AM–9:00 AM EST, with flexibility based on campaign needs)
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday-Friday
  • REPORTING TO/POC: To Be Determined
