Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end product design initiatives, from problem definition and discovery through final delivery and measurement of outcomes.
- Simplify complex retail workflows by creating intuitive, efficient experiences that help merchants operate confidently.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design solutions that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and scalability.
- Conduct user research, testing, and validation with merchants to ensure decisions are based on real-world behaviors and insights.
- Apply systems thinking to improve consistency across product experiences and contribute to shared design patterns.
- Strengthen design practices by providing feedback, mentoring teammates, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Use modern AI-powered tools to accelerate exploration, prototyping, validation, and new ways of working within the design process.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams to align product vision, priorities, and execution.
- Advocate for customer-centered design principles and maintain a high standard of product quality.
- 8+ years of experience in product design within product-focused technology companies, with demonstrated impact on shipped products.
- Strong portfolio showcasing excellent design fundamentals, interface design expertise, and the ability to simplify complex user workflows.
- Experience designing for mature, large-scale products and making thoughtful decisions around simplification, modernization, and consistency.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams and adapt designs to real technical constraints.
- Strong proficiency in prototyping, user research methods, usability testing, and data-informed decision-making.
- Active experience using AI tools within the design workflow and curiosity about how AI is transforming product design practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of design systems and experience contributing to scalable design frameworks.
- Ability to mentor other designers and elevate team practices through constructive feedback.
- Professional fluency in English is required due to collaboration with global employees and customers.
