Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting authentication, authorization, and identity management.
- Drive the technical direction of high-impact IAM initiatives, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, and highly performant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and security teams to define priorities, architecture, and long-term technical roadmaps.
- Lead the delivery of complex distributed systems projects aligned with business and engineering objectives.
- Improve platform scalability, resilience, and operational excellence through thoughtful system design and continuous optimization.
- Mentor and support other engineers by sharing technical expertise, providing guidance, and fostering engineering best practices.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge while contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems.
- At least 2 years of experience working within security-sensitive domains such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security, Privacy, or Anti-Abuse.
- Strong understanding of identity management concepts, authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML), session management, and authorization models including RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, or centralized authorization frameworks.
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages, with Go being highly preferred.
- Experience with or willingness to learn modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and GCP.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, lead, and successfully deliver high-impact technical initiatives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Base salary ranging from $190,800 to $267,100 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
