POSITION OVERVIEW

KKR is seeking an experienced regulatory lawyer with at least seven years of relevant post-qualification experience advising on financial services regulation and/or working with financial supervisory regulated entities, to join its Legal & Compliance team. This role will be responsible for advising on, managing, and coordinating financial supervisory authority matters and filings (e.g., Central Bank of Ireland / UK Financial Conduct Authority) for KKR transactions and executives. The position requires strong legal judgement, exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively across transactional timelines and multiple stakeholders, including external counsel, KKR Legal & Compliance, Finance, other internal parties, and third-party service providers.

The role involves advising on and managing end-to-end processes for regulatory submissions to regulators globally, ensuring timely and accurate filings, maintaining comprehensive records, and serving as a central point of legal and regulatory coordination for transaction-related financial regulatory activities.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise on and manage financial regulatory matters and filings related to KKR transactions and executive appointments/changes across global jurisdictions, working closely with other Legal colleagues, Compliance, Finance, deal teams, and external counsel.
  • Manage the end-to-end filing preparation and submission process in accordance with KKR's established procedures, providing legal analysis and ensuring all required steps are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain documentation and records systems of regulatory advice and filing activity.
  • Track and monitor KKR's regulated entities, and serve as a subject-matter resource to help determine and interpret potential regulatory obligations in relation to corporate organisational changes and updates, and changes in personnel and appointments.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure that information provided to antitrust, FDI, and financial supervisory regulators in respect of KKR and its portfolio companies is up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven or more years of post-qualification experience advising on financial services regulation and/or working with regulated entities in a law firm, in-house legal department, or regulatory compliance environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-party processes involving coordination across internal teams, external counsel, and regulatory authorities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work product.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including with senior executive audiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate (or eligibility to hold one), admitted as a solicitor, barrister, or attorney (LL.B., J.D., or equivalent).
