The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars and Sensors Center is seeking a Control Lead to support the Upper Tier Missile Defense (UTMD) Radar Capability (RCap) IPT, focusing on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs for the AN/TPY-2 Radar. The AN/TPY-2 is the world’s most advanced mobile radar system. It is a multi-functional X-band radar deployed globally in terminal or forward-based modes. These systems are a critical component of the U.S. Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), ensuring the safety and technological superiority of the Warfighter.

As the Control Lead, you will report to the UTMD RCap IPT Lead and work closely with the Program Office, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring financial execution and predictability within the IPT during the execution of FMS and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) contracts. Specifically, your focus will include supporting CAMs to ensure accurate Earned Value Management (EVM), providing financial analysis, and driving alignment across teams.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and organize the development of multiple Quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) across the UTMD portfolio for the IPT.

  • Ensure accurate and predictable monthly and quarterly financial performance.

  • Provide guidance to CAMs on best practices and process improvements.

  • Collaborate with program leaders to establish common practices for using and reporting Earned Value (EV) data.

  • Analyze monthly EV metrics and provide summary reports to the IPT.

  • Generate key financial artifacts, including weekly actual reports, LRE (Latest Revised Estimate) vs. EAC analyses, and other deliverables as required.

  • Perform SAP/Analysis Office (AO) report extractions, data reconciliation, and analysis.

  • Support IPT leadership in strategic decision-making through data-driven financial insights.

  • This role can be based out of Woburn, MA or Colorado Springs, CO.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience in project or technical leadership, including leading cross-functional engineering teams to achieve program and organizational objectives.

  • Experience utilizing financial metrics, including earned value, project budgets, ROI, cost savings, annual budget management, and/or revenue growth.

What You Will Learn

  • Obtain RTX Earned Value Management (EVM) Certification and apply EVM principles and formulae in your role. (Certification course to be completed after hire.)

  • Proven track record of success collaborating with cross-discipline teams to achieve program objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • An advanced degree in a related field.

  • Professional experience in the aerospace or defense industry, with a focus on missile defense systems and ground-based sensors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a history of effective collaboration and positive team interactions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience presenting to program and functional leadership teams.

  • Experience supporting proposals, including conducting proposal gate reviews and baselining program plans.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
