About the Role
Maven Clinic is seeking a clinical quality operations intern (10-15 hours per week) to provide Clinical Quality Operations support. You will work directly with the Clinical Quality leadership team to execute high-visibility projects and support critical operational infrastructure that contributes to Maven’s care delivery. This is a project-oriented engagement ideal for individuals with a clinical or healthcare background interested in transitioning into digital health operations. You will have the opportunity to support clinical quality workflows and gain hands-on experience across quality systems and operational planning.
As an intern, you will support the Clinical Quality team through various project-based deliverables and ongoing operational tasks. Key focus areas include auditing and refreshing provider-facing resources, creating operational playbooks for engagement sessions, and providing consistent weekly support across quality workflows and reporting.
This is a 3-month internship running from August through November.
What You'll Work On
- Provider Resource Library & Training Refresh
- Lead an end-to-end overhaul of the provider resource library, including auditing existing assets, reorganizing the taxonomy, refreshing clinical training content and scope of practice with internal SMEs, and establishing a sustainable maintenance guide.
- FY Engagement Session Planning Kit
- Develop an operations playbook for FY engagement sessions by mapping the schedule, documenting stakeholder roles, creating standardized slide templates, and designing execution checklists for streamlined ramp-up.
- Ongoing Operational Support
- You will also provide weekly operational support to maintain efficient clinical quality workflows. This includes triaging incoming JIRA and Zendesk tickets, assisting with monthly report preparation and QA checks, tracking meeting action items and follow-ups, and helping to coordinate quarterly planning.
What You'll Bring
- Prior experience in clinical settings, healthcare administration, or public health research, with a baseline understanding of quality improvement (QI) methodologies
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, JIRA, and Zendesk, with a proactive approach to learning new digital tools and AI applications
- Strong written communication and ability to manage independent workstreams
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex clinical information into clear, actionable resources for providers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent project streams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate sits at the intersection of clinical healthcare understanding and operational curiosity. While a formal clinical background is a major asset, we are looking for someone with a strong grasp of the women's health landscape. They should understand care pathways and the various levels of care available to members, allowing them to recognize which specialist or resource is appropriate for different health needs. You should be a self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver who is comfortable with technology and eager to build expertise in digital health quality systems.
The compensation rate for this role is $20/hour.
