About the Role
We are seeking a Sr Payroll Associate to support Carrier’s International Payroll operations. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for international assignees, including both inbound and outbound employees. You will collaborate across payroll and tax functions, resolve employee inquiries, and help maintain compliance with payroll regulations while gaining valuable exposure to global mobility and international payroll practices.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr Payroll Associate , you'll be responsible for:
Responsible for payroll activities to ensure accurate and on-time processing.
Prepares and processes payroll and tax transactions for international assignees.
Manages and maintains payroll data, systems and schedules, and assists in the reconciliation of all payroll-related accounts by collecting and analyzing information to resolve payroll discrepancies for domestic & International assignees.
Understands, follows and implements payroll controls, policies, reporting requirements and wage and hour laws.
Collects inputs for, and responds to, inquiries to clarify issues for domestic & International assignees.
Guides, advises and provides data for payroll audits, reconciliations and projects to ensure compliance and timely completion for domestic & International assignees.
Role Purpose:
Exposure to International assignee payroll, both In-pats and Ex-pats
To enhance skills in payroll and tax processing for international assignees
To enhance skills in payroll and tax related issues in cross functional payroll and tax operations
Gaining experience in understanding and resolving current and future issues for both company transactions and employee concerns around their international assignments for both IN-PATS and EX-PATS
Requirements

As a minimum you must have:
Minimum 1 year of U.S. payroll experience while based in Mexico.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate college degree.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential payroll information accurately.
Although Not Necessary, It Would Be Nice If You Have:
Exposure to international assignee payroll, including In-Pat and Ex-Pat populations.
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and cross-functional payroll processes.
Experience supporting payroll audits, reconciliations, or global mobility programs.
