Accountabilities:
- Develop new tax curriculum content and maintain existing courses and learning materials.
- Monitor developments in the tax profession, including regulatory updates, new standards, and industry changes, to ensure content remains current.
- Write, review, and update assessment materials such as multiple-choice questions, simulations, and written exercises.
- Manage content development timelines, track project progress, and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Collaborate with production teams on content design, including tables, graphics, visuals, and overall learning experience.
- Review and provide feedback on course materials created by subject matter experts.
- Coordinate projects and timelines with contributors to ensure successful delivery of educational content.
- Train subject matter experts on content templates, processes, and learning platforms.
- Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Support improvements to existing courses, learning platforms, and educational tools.
- Maintain a current library of tax regulations, authoritative literature updates, and professional developments to inform future curriculum.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address questions, resolve challenges, and improve content quality.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally with a focus in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- CPA and/or CMA credential required, with CPA or dual CPA/CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of professional taxation experience with strong knowledge of tax concepts and regulations.
- Experience developing educational content or training materials preferred.
- Master’s degree and experience with curriculum or content development preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, planning, and resource management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience using project management and content tracking tools.
- Ability to apply instructional design concepts to professional learning materials.
