You are responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue and profit performance, as well as market share penetration of the hotel. As a Cluster Commercial Director - North Island, you’re not just leading commercial strategy across multiple segments and revenue streams – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- Own commercial strategy and execution: Develop and execute an integrated commercial strategy across all North Island hotels, aligning Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, eCommerce, Public Relations and Group, Conference & Events activities to maximize revenue, profitability and market share.
- Maximize revenue and profitability: Partner with the Regional General Manager, General Managers and Finance leaders to achieve revenue, TGOP and EBITDA targets by optimizing performance across Rooms, F&B, Leisure, Spa and Events while maintaining disciplined commercial investment and distribution strategies.
- Lead pricing and forecasting strategy: Oversee forecasting, pricing, market segmentation, business reviews and revenue optimization strategies to maximize demand, market share and overall commercial performance across all hotels.
- Drive sales effectiveness and customer growth: Provide strategic leadership to sales and events teams through account management, customer acquisition, retention and market share initiatives, ensuring a strong focus on high-value corporate, leisure, MICE and group business opportunities.
- Align sales and marketing efforts: Lead integrated marketing, digital, eCommerce and public relations strategies that strengthen brand presence, generate demand and support the commercial objectives of each hotel.
- Leverage commercial insights and market intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitive activity and customer demand to inform commercial decisions, optimize channel performance and identify new growth opportunities.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships and governance: Build trusted partnerships with owners, Hilton corporate and regional teams, customers and industry stakeholders while maintaining effective commercial governance, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
- Develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability: Lead, coach and develop commercial talent across sales, marketing, events and revenue management while promoting collaboration, succession planning, operational excellence, compliance and workplace health and safety.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years in a revenue-generating or commercial role within hospitality or travel.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing sales or commercial teams.
- Proven experience presenting strategic plans to senior executives and stakeholder groups.
- Strong background in cross-functional collaboration within matrixed environments.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data to inform strategic and tactical decisions.
- Track record of identifying and evaluating new business opportunities.
- Experience in multi-complex hotel or travel industry operations.
- Cross-disciplinary exposure to Marketing, E-commerce, and Finance functions.
