What this job involves:
Join our client-facing facilities team as a Mailroom Clerk, where you'll play a vital role in supporting mailroom and receiving dock operations within an assigned portfolio of buildings. This onsite position is essential to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional service by ensuring seamless mail distribution, package handling, and store management operations for our valued clients. You'll be the front line of communication and service, exhibiting exceptional customer service skills while managing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, office supplies, and maintaining the client's company store. What your day-to-day will look like:
Sort incoming mail according to destination and type, process outgoing mail by folding, posting, and sealing envelopes, prepare packages, create shipment labels, and collect, receive, and distribute mail using automated tracking systems.
Dispatch outgoing mail and packages through USPS, UPS, and FedEx, track and trace shipments, resolve mail problems with carriers, and prepare bulk mail reports to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Process incoming shipments by confirming receipt and inventory against BOL/invoice, send copies to appropriate personnel, and stock items according to guidelines while maintaining organized storage areas.
Maintain the client's company store by managing inventory, front-facing products, monitoring shelf life and freshness, checking expiration dates, rotating inventory using FIFO method, and identifying items approaching expiration for discounting or removal.
Manage and maintain copier printer stock including toner, paper, and usage data, while ensuring office and cleaning supply inventory is adequately stocked and readily available.
Work collaboratively within the facility management team to anticipate and respond to client needs and concerns, identify potential risks, escalate issues as needed, and organize and maintain a clean mailroom environment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with at least two years of related experience in mailroom operations, store management, or facilities support.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with ability to travel between buildings within assigned portfolio as needed.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions with strong attention to detail for accurate mail sorting, inventory management, and shipment processing.
Physical capacity to stand and walk for prolonged periods, regularly lift and carry up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making to respond effectively to client needs and operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams for communication, reporting, and inventory tracking purposes.
Experience with automated mail tracking systems and familiarity with USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipping platforms and protocols.
Knowledge of inventory management best practices including FIFO rotation, shelf life monitoring, and proper product placement and separation protocols.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity in a client-facing environment.
Experience supporting facility management operations with proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and maintain professional client relationships.

Estimated compensation for this position:
45,000.00 – 52,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
