Job Title: Credit Risk Supervisor

About your role:

We are seeking driven and people-focused Credit Risk Supervisor to lead a credit risk operations team, which may support areas such as risk investigations, underwriting, triage, merchant review, or related workflows. In this role, you will oversee daily workflow management, decision quality, operational performance, and employee development while ensuring risk, compliance, and service level expectations are consistently achieved.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate teams, manage competing priorities, support sound risk-based decisioning, and drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, process management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across credit risk, operations, sales, compliance, and other business partners.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop an assigned credit risk operations team, which may include risk investigations, underwriting, triage, merchant review, or related workflows.
  • Oversee daily workload, queue management, service levels, quality standards, and business objectives to ensure timely and accurate risk decisions.
  • Coach and mentor team members, providing performance feedback, decisioning guidance, and support for career growth and development.
  • Review escalated cases and complex risk scenarios, helping teams apply policies, procedures, and sound judgment to support consistent outcomes.
  • Analyze operational and risk performance trends, identify root causes, and implement solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across credit risk, operations, sales, compliance, and product teams to resolve issues, optimize processes, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on risk management, regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and operational excellence.

What you need to have

  • Must be organized, intuitive and an analytical thinker, with the ability to perform detailed credit and data analysis in a fast paced environment. 
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills a must including a strong ability to explain and/or present analysis to senior management, bank partners, external stakeholders, legal and ultimately our merchants. 
  • Strong financial analysis skills with an emphasis on reading Business Financial Statements. 
  • Strong business judgement with demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively. 
  • Must be timely with tasks and proactive by seeking out solutions and problem resolution. 
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and comfortable learning and aid in developing new internal systems.  

What would be great to have :

  • Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related quantitative discipline. 
  • Preferred experience: 6-8 years of proven credit risk experience in middle market / corporate bank lending, merchant acquiring risk focused on middle market / enterprise clients and/or  asset based lending.
