Program Chief Engineer (Principle or Senior)

The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), The Boeing Space & Mission Systems (SMS), Chief Engineering Department is seeking a Program Chief Engineer (Principle or Senior) (Level 5 or 6) to join our team in El Segundo, California.
This role plays a critical leadership role on a commercial satellite program assuring quality engineering in design, build, delivery, issue and risk management of space systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required
Work across capabilities to ensure the skills needed to perform the design and build of complex space system programs
Experience in program startup and baselining
Experience in risk and issue management processes and execution
Experience with customer interactions and program campaign engagement
Experience in engineering trade processes and baseline control
Experience working with program management and finance to ensure execution to program planning
Experience working anomalies with root cause corrective action (RCCA) processes
Experience with major suppliers on a program and management of their specifications and engineering deliveries
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
10+ years of experience working with space-based systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, functional analysis, architecture design, trade studies, integration, and verification)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 6: 20+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience as a SEIT lead or Satellite Chief Engineer
Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Strong Communication, Adaptability, Decision Making, Customer Focus, Integrated Systems, Engineering Analysis, and Requirements/Tracing skillset

Principle (Level 5) Summary pay range: $176,800 - $239,200
Senior (Level 6) Summary pay range: $210,800 - $285,200
