Now Hiring: Drafting Design Associate II

Location: On-Site

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafting Design Associate II to support engineering and maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining engineering drawings, document control systems, equipment records, and technical documentation while supporting capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD experience, excellent organizational skills, and enjoys working closely with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain engineering drawings and documentation in electronic and hard-copy formats
  • Manage equipment numbers, drawing numbers, and document control records
  • Ensure engineering documentation standards remain accurate, organized, and accessible
  • Create new drawings and revise existing drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare layouts and technical drawings to support plant improvement and capital projects
  • Maintain equipment records, operating manuals, maintenance documentation, and related files
  • Enter and update spare parts information within maintenance management systems
  • Coordinate documentation requests with engineers, maintenance, operations, contractors, and outside engineering firms
  • Support engineering leadership with documentation, drawing revisions, and project activities
  • Assist with documentation and coordination for capital improvement projects
  • Maintain the engineering document library for efficient storage and retrieval
  • Operate and coordinate maintenance of plotters, copiers, and other drafting equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, or a related field preferred
  • Three or more years of manufacturing, drafting, engineering support, or document control experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD required; experience with 3D modeling software preferred
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and document control practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with JDE or other ERP/maintenance management systems is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday
  • Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Pay: $22–$28 per hour, based on experience
